Welcome to Children's Literacy Initiative

For young children everywhere, the start of school is a time
of promise and opportunity. Too often though, children in our
most impoverished neighborhoods are not getting the
education they deserve.

Children’s Literacy Initiative is a leader in significantly
improving literacy instruction so that more young students learn
to read and write. The Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the University of Pennsylvania lists CLI as an exemplar agent in improving quality early literacy instruction and a charity where invested dollars could do the most good.
