Children's Literacy Initiative's program based upon literacy best practices is recognized nationally as a premier initiative in bringing about effective change in elementary school education in urban schools. Our entrepreneurial spirit, creative techniques and focus on nurturing literacy in children are the cornerstones of CLI's mission and vision. In the words of our Executive Director, Linda Katz, "Great books are the heart and soul of CLI's curriculum ...inviting children into the world of literacy," the starting point for a lifetime of learning upon which children can build a successful future.
Our staff of dedicated professionals work together collaboratively in a team effort to bring about the best possible innovative and effective support for elementary school teachers from Pre-k through third grade. The challenges of our expanding enterprise are met with enthusiasm and a sense that each individual person is making an important contribution to the success of the whole endeavor -- in a way that has the special reward of "giving" at work to the welfare of our society. Come join our team and experience that special feeling. Read what others say at Educators' Praise/Awards. |
